A Private Pilot License course is the first step on the ladder of aviation training. Upon successfully completing your Private Pilot Licence training course, you will be allowed to fly an aircraft for recreational purposes during daytime in good weather conditions. The theoretical phase covers aspects including aviation laws, navigation principles, meteorology, and aircraft operations before the practical flight training
To qualify for a Private Pilot License (PPL), By the end of your training, you should;
Be proficient in English, both spoken and written
Hold a restricted or general radio certificate
Hold class I/II medical certificate
Have a minimum of 25 hours dual flight training with an instructor
Have a of 15 hours of solo flight training including a minimum of 3 hours solo cross country navigation flight
Pass a practical flight and navigation skills test in addition to 5 Hours Basic IF Simulator training

This advanced diploma is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on aircrafts. A Night Rating is an excellent first stepping stone for you as a PPL holder intent on improving your qualifications. It will enable you to fly at night in VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions), and serves as an introduction to the basics of Instrument flight. In order to obtain a night rating you will be required to pass one theoretical examination and a practical flight test
To qualify for a Night Rating, By the end of your training, you should obtain;
5 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction
10 hours of instrument instruction, of which not more than 5 hours may be accumulated in an approved Flight Simulation Training Device not less than 5 take-offs and five landings by night as pilot manipulating the controls of the aircraft whilst under dual instruction
A dual cross-country flight by night consisting of at least a total distance of not less than 150 NM in the course of which full-stop landings at two different aerodromes away from base are made

An Instructor Rating will give you the edge over a pilot who does not have the rating, providing you with one more avenue that you can use to gain hours and experience. It also adds experience and value to your CV and career in aviation. A Grade 3 Flight Instructor Rating allows you to give flying training in all sequences for PPL and CPL training
To qualify for a Instructor Rating, By the end of your training, you should have;
5 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction
A valid CPL or ATPL
A class 1 medical certificate
20 hours of flight instructor patter training conducted by a Grade I or a Grade II Aeroplane Flight Instructor

Instrument Rating will provide you with the skills to fly in IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions). Limitations still apply, often but not always dependant on the limitations of the aircraft. In order to commence training towards an Instrument Rating you need to hold atleast a PPL and a Night Rating with a General Radio License
To qualify for a Instrument Rating, By the end of your training, you should obtain;
Basic ground training and Instrument flying procedures
Ground training towards operating procedures under IFR
Line oriented flight training (LOFT), line operational simulation (LOS), and line operational evaluation (LOE)
Route familiarisation in aircraft
A minimum of 40 hours instrument flight training of which a maximum of either 20 hours or 30 hours may be in an Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) approved for the purpose
Upon successful completion of this course, each student should have;
The ability to prepare, plan, and execute a VFR multi-engine flight; Have the knowledge to pass flight tests and be abile to apply relevant ground knowledge in the safe execution of a VFR multi-engine flight The student should also have the skills to safely fly a multi-engine aircraft while in VMC conditions; As well as have the ability to manage emergency procedures and normal procedures in a multi-engine aircraft.
